Portsmouth Sports Club

The November meeting of the Portsmouth Sports Club was held at the Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. President Jim Short congratulated the members for all their hard work in making the reverse raffle a huge success, with special appreciation for organizers Jeanie and Paul Vestal. Guest Speaker Coach Bobby Ross discussed his 31 years in coaching. Coach Ross recounted his years at VMI, the Citadel, University of Maryland, Georgia Tech,West Point, the Detroit Lions, and the San Diego Chargers. His engaging sense of humor and direct personality gave no doubt why he is regarded as one of the giants in the coaching profession. The club's Christmas social will be held December 15th at Elizabeth Manor.
